Goodbye January!

Image
Another week has flown by, and January is coming to an end! Zach had a big week, two basketball games and we registered him for high school which is surreal!   Peytons team took a break for ice cream :) Friday night we took in the MSUM women's basketball game and watched our nanny Cassidy Thorsen play :) Logan played basketball in Kindred on Saturday;   On Saturday afternoon, we went to Skyzone as a reward for Casey and Logan getting 50 stickers on their chart for bringing home all their winter gear in January; Peytons friend Kaitlyn spent the day with us as well! Other highlights included going the Mustang Booster Club Hawaiian bash fundraiser Saturday, having brunch with my mom and sister Sunday and partaking in a trip the mall, specifically the toy store:) Playing outside...... And working on the entry for the yearbook cover; and other artwork :)         ...

Another week has flown by; hard to believe it is the end of January! The weekdays continue to be filled with school, work and multiple practices and activities. Zach was nominated for a national STEM school this summer; he was chosen for this because of his top grades and scores on standardized tests. This is an exciting opportunity as the featured speakers are NASA astronauts! He has also received his drivers permit shortly after his birthday and made it into the All State Band as second chair trumpet!! Logan and Casey enjoyed Game Night at Legacy with Peyton and Jesse    Logan had his first Upwards basketball game and proceeded to make all but 2 of the baskets for his team, which according to coach Jesse, was 10, scoring 20 points.  He had a couple of left hand layups also :) Peytons' team took second in their tournament, which was an 8th grade bracket; the game they lost was a tough one as two of our girls got in foul troub...

Brrrrrrr!!

So we are on to week 2 of blogging:). In summary, it was a cold, snowy week in January with temps averaging below zero and wind chills even lower! Cold days were spent...... Going to movies... Listening to music...... Sleepovers with friends... And with mom...... Cuddling with Bear..... And just generally lounging around :) The week wrapped up with Peyton's basketball tournament in Bismarck; they took 5th place and were up against some tough competition! While Jesse and Peyton were at the games, Casey got to play with his friend Max Kelsch; they built legos, enjoyed sledding and even shoveled a bit As we look ahead to next week, we are hoping for warmer temps! Many Scrabble tournaments were enjoyed throughout the week as well :)   Our nanny for the last 3 summers :))
